Rich Bitch

Start noticing how wealthy you are right now.

Right this very moment, YOU are a rich bitch.

Henry David Thoreau once said, “Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.”

Even when times are tough, it’s really important to keep things in perspective. Hard to do sometimes but you need to try and think clearly and logically. Around my TOM, I feel as if the whole world is against me and I delve into a woe is me kind of attitude. I never ever think of the good things. It is always the bad. We are richer than we know or even thought.

Here are some things that make us wealthy:

You didn’t go to sleep hungry last night.

You didn’t have to sleep outside.

You had a choice of what clothes to wear this morning.

You have clean clothes.

You have access to clean drinking water.

You have access to medical care.

You have access to the Internet.

You can read.

You were able to stop and get a coffee of your choosing.

I would say you are wealthy. I would say we are rich bitches.

SO let us remember to be grateful for all the things we do have.

      • For the A to Z Challenge, I had drafted a post about *Wealth* several weeks ago. I loved the Thoreau quote so much, I modified my draft post to include it. Hope you don’t mind my borrowing it 🙂
